SUMMER HOLIDAYS IN SLOVENIA

“The Sunny Side of the Alps” - Summer in Slovenia stretches over 7 months blending nicely with spring and autumn. Slovenia’s alpine climate is strongly affected by the southern winds, coming from the nearby Adriatic coast. Therefore making average temperatures higher than other European alpine areas. April and May have mild and long sunny days – the first signs of spring normally appearing in the middle of March. June, July and August boast long and sunny days with the daytime temperature reaching mid twenties. During the evenings short and sharp thunderstorms are a regular occurrence – keeping the ground lush and green. September and October are still mild with cooler mornings and evenings.
An ideal place for walking, rambling, hiking, trekking and outdoor activities. Slovenia has a wonderful variety of terrain from lovely gentle valleys - striding out alongside lazy crystal clear rivers, hiking on the scenic and breathtaking trails and fauna filled meadows of the Triglav National Park, summiting a selection of towering and challenging peaks in the high Julian Alps to trekking hut to hut in any of the three contrasting mountain ranges: Slovenia “A Tailor-made outdoors heaven
