From Pokljuka Plateau we walk through beautiful dense forestry up to Blejska Koca, situated in a wild open meadow, offering wonderful views of the Bohinj Valley. At 1800m we should have our first views of Lake Bled, on natural mountain trails we make our way on up to 1900m and are astounded by our first views of the Julian Alps, dominated by Mount Triglav the closeness of the Alps take our breath away. |
| The highpoint of our hike is at 2014m, on the summit of Debela Pec, we scan the horizon. Lake Bled and the Karavenken Mountains are behind us, the three Triglav Valleys 1000m below us and the Julian Alps in front of us, this is one of the most memorable panoramas in the whole of Slovenia. |
