From the top of the Vrsic Pass we head up into the mountains and Prisojnik's north face. Starting immediately using our security system we ascending up the north route, climbing we see Mangart – 2679m and Jalovec – 2645m, while Mala – 2332m and Velika – 2366m Mojstrovka are directly behind us. The most exciting part of this day is approaching the main window and our fixed route takes us directly through it.
Nothing can prepare us though for the view from the top as we stand surround by the Alps. Directly below us is the alpine village of Kranjska Gora, Trenta Valley and the Vrsic Pass, whilst towering closer is Spik, the rugged outline of Razor – 2601m and the emperor himself Triglav – 2864m. This route is described as one of the most exciting North Face routes in the Alps.
Prisojnik is suitable for fit and experienced hikers, graded challenging with 9 hours of hiking and steep sections, an exciting and challenging via ferrata route.
