An easy hike to a spectacular view point in the Western part of the Julian Alps. Looking down to the wild valley of Tamar, over to Mt Jalovec (the symbol of the Slovene Mountaineering Association) and across into Austria and Italy.
Our drive to the hike takes us on to the highest pass in Slovenia and one of the oldest in Europe. We pass by many monuments including The Russian Chapel, which was built by Russian prisoners of war in 1915. At the top of the pass we are on the border between the Alpine and Coastal region of Slovenia.
