COMBINATION TREKKING - 5 day trekking

The Julian Alps and Karavanke Mountain Range

Slovenia has such an amazing diversity of scenery that it can be difficult to chose which mountain range you would prefer to trek in. However it is possible to experience both in our combination treks. These 5 and 7 day programmes have been put together in a way so that you can experience the very best mountain scenery in Slovenia, without having to rush and miss any of what the Alps have to offer.

5 day Combination Trekking

This combination trek has been put together spending 3 days in the Julian Alps and 2 days in the Karavanke Mountain Range. The trail leads you into the heart of the Julian Alps including the chance to climb the mighty Mt Triglav, passed the beautiful Triglav lakes and finishing at the largest glacier lake in Slovenia - Bohinj.

 

The following days are spent in the Karavanke Mountain Range discovering a more green open landscape with unique natural features such as the Baron's Tunnels. These contouring peaks are the border between Slovenia and Austria and lead us up to the areas of Ljubelj and Veliki Vrh.

Day 1:

Rudno Polje (1340m) - Studorski Preval (1892m) - Vodnik Hut (1817m) - Konjsko Sedlo (2020m) - Kredarica (2541m)

 

Day 2:

Kredarica (2541m) - Triglav (2864m) or direct to Planika Hut (2401m) - Dolic (2151m) - Cez Hriba (2358m) - Prehodavci (2071m)

 

Day 3:

Prehodavci (2071m) - The Triglav Lakes (1685m) - Štapce (1815m) - Planina Ovca (1660m) - Planina Viševnik (1625m) Planina Jezeru Hut (1453m) - Vogar (1054m) - Stara Fužina (546m)

 

Day 4:

Ljubelj (1050m) - Baron's Tunnels (1100m) - Roblekov Hut and Zelenica (1536m) - Ljubelj (1050m)

 

Day 5:

Ljubelj (1050m) - Korosica (1450m) - Hanzevo Sedlo (1701m) - Veliki Vrh (2088m) - Kofce (1488m)

The 5 day combination trek is a challenging trek,

that is not technically difficult but has long days !

The above programme include hut accommodation, food on a half board basis, transport to the start and from the end of the trek from Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj and Kranjska Gora, qualified licensed mountaineering guides and all extra equipment.
