Humanfish Via Ferrata Hikes/Treks 2004
Prisojnik Window - 2547m
With its natural window and rugged outline, Prisojnik is a giant of a mountain that dominates the horizon from the village of Kranjska Gora. This majestic peak is the perfect introduction day to anyone who has never climbed the iron way before. Working in a small group our experienced guides will teach you how to feel secure when using these fixed alpine ropes as we work our way up the well secured northern, taking the Kopiscva Route, directly up and through the window. No previous experience is needed in 'via ferrata' on this introduction day, just a good head for heights and some high level walking experience.
A short break on 'Via Ferrata'
If you have climbed the iron way before then a short break climbing two peaks in the Julian Alps is the perfect time to expand your technique and to enjoy climbing away from the crowds. Mojstrovka and Prisojnik are our peaks in this short climbing break. Mojstrovka has two peaks Mala (Small) and Velika (Large), we make our way up the north wall of Mala Mojstrovka, a less climbed route in the Alps offering spectacular views into the valleys below. From Mala we ascend to Velika covering two peaks in one day. We finish off the descend with some scree running down onto the Vrsic Pass where opposite stands Prisojnik.
Climbing Prisojnik we take Hanzova Pot, one of the most difficult routes in the Julian Alps, but with experienced guides and after our first day on Mojstrovka we can tackle this giant with a sense of achievement as we tackle one of the least climbed routes in Slovenia. This is the perfect short break for anyone who has a good level of fitness, a head for heights and is confident at spending full days in the high Alps.
Kamnik Alps
The most southern alps in Europe provide the perfect setting for five days trekking and climbing. Our route takes us through the heart of these majestic mountains, climbing the giants of Grintovec, Planjava and Skuta alongwith a selection of smaller peaks. This really is adventurous walking away from the crowds in the least trekked area in Slovenia.
A good level of fitness, a head for heights and previous experience on 'via ferrata' is necessary for this rewarding and spectacular trek.
