The Triglav National Park is an area of outstanding beauty containing rivers, lakes, waterfalls and the spectacular Julian Alps. This trek leads us into the very heart of the mountains while trekking along one of the most beautiful trails in the Alps.

| Slovenia's highest mountain - Triglav dominates the park where steep northern slopes reign over deep lush valleys. This trail gives us an insight into a herdmen's way of life with traditional dishes to try. Trekking through the beautiful valley of the lakes we make our way to Bogatin where battles took place during World War I, the area of Hemingway's 'Farewell to Arms'. |
Day 1:Dr. Klement Jug Hut (700m) - Lake Krn Hut (1385m) - the afternoon is spent walking to Krn Lakes and Planina na Polju (1530m)
Day 2:Lake Krn Hut (1530m) - Vratca (1803m) - Lanzevica (2003m) - Bogatin Hut (1513m) - Komna (1520m)
Day 3:Komna (1520m) - Triglav Lakes Hut (1685m) - Prehodavci (2071m)
Day 4:Prehodavci (2071m) - Dolic (2151m) - Planika (2404m) - Triglav (2864m) - Planika (2404m)
Day 5:Planika (2404m) - Dolic (2151m) - Luknja (1758m) - Aljaz Hut in Vrata Valley (1015m)
Day 6:Aljaz Hut (1015m) - Bivouac IV (1980m) - Kriz (2410m) - Pogacnik Hut on Kriz Plateau (2052m)
Day 7:Pogacnik Hut (2052m) - Razor (2601m) - Vrsic (1690m) |
