Slovenia is known as the Green Piece of Europe. Why? It is over 50% forested and 78% green covered. Pokljuka is the most densely forested area in Slovenia and the high plateau of Pokljuka is home to many different species of flauna and flora as will as a large variety of mushrooms.
The trails on this high plateau take us deep into the forest and then into open, sun filled meadows where herds graze at leisure. There are also many nature trails that we can follow and our guides are highly knowledgable in wild and plant life.
