The old trading pass of Ljubelj is over 350 years old and is situated on the border of Slovenia and Austria. The now unused pass takes us to the boader point at 1330metres - offering views into Slovenia and neighbouring Austria. Traditional provisions can be sampled in the mountain hut on the Slovene side whilst admiring the open panorama. This pass was used originally to transport goods from Turkey, Greece and Africa to the courts of Vienna and Salzburg. |
