Winter
Most people think of winter as only down- hill skiing and whilst that plays an important part in Slovenian winters there are endless opportunities for other activities.
Slovenia’s winter is short and sharp, starting around the Christmas holidays and finishing with Planica, the world ski jumping in March.
We swap our high mountain trails and climbing routes for cross country skiing in the valley, snow shoeing on mountain pastures, tobogganing, snow biking, skiing and husky sleding.
Our ski school in Kranjska Gora offers a full range of courses from introduction days to six day courses in skiing and snow boarding, from private lessons ski to away days in different areas of Slovenia, Austria and Italy.
In mid- December we “build” our Igloo on Krvavec, Slovenia’s only Igloo and an excellent way to enjoy a drink, dinner or spend the night. Each room offers mattresses and special sleeping bags to ensure a toasty and snug night. We can arrange private parties or why not organise an Igloo birthday, celebration, anniversary present or simply a fun family night.
